We are based in the Senior school at Birkenhead High School Academy,
86 Devonshire Place, Prenton, CH43 1TY.
Drop off and pick up points are in the school canteen. Please use the
swimming pool car park and follow the Topspin signs.
What to Bring to Camp
You will need
• Snacks to cover up to 2 breaks and a packed lunch. Please provide plenty of water and drinks for the day.
• Swimming kit including swim cap
• Clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities.
• A raincoat for break-time and free play. We will encourage children to use the outdoors spaces even if it’s grey and overcast
• Hand sanitiser if you have it. We will ask every child to wash their hands as they enter and leave the building each day (as well as key points throughout the day)
• Packet of tissues
You won’t need
• Mobile phone – must not be brought to or used on camp. Where necessary, they should be kept in bags until the end of the day
• Sports equipment
• Tablets, or gaming devices. We try to promote a screen free time at Topspin and encourage the children to make friendships and interact with each other.
• Money – we don’t provide tuck shops
• Valuables such as expensive watches and non-essential jewellery
Securely Checking Your Child In & Out
The safety of your child is paramount and our commitment to safeguarding means that we need to ensure that we register your child on arrival and have a secure signing out process.
The process for drop off and collection will be:
• Drop off 10am at the canteen entrance, on your child’s first day we do like to double check contact information and swimming ability.
• If you require support on drop off to help settle your child in, please arrive between 9.35-9.45am.
• We will be doing a presentation at 3.45pm everyday, you are welcome to come into school and watch this.
• Children over the age of 11 can sign themselves out if the parent registered their consent when booking
• Breakfast club and afternoon club are based in the school canteen. Earliest drop off is 8am and latest pickup is 6pm.
Topspin will issue a full refund if your cancellation is 4 days prior to the date of cancellation. Thereafter Topspin does not issue refunds for any reason, including non-attendance, a credit note may be issued in the event of injury or illness of a child booked into the Topspin, subject to Topspin receiving written notice of non-attendance 24 hours after the start of affected day or the Topspin Programme. A medical certificate may be required.
